Hi, I’m Leah.

Leah Y. Castleberry is a technologist, business strategist, researcher, and tech equity advocate.

She currently serves as the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation’s Technology Fellow in partnership with Google. Leah is also the founder of Womanist Tech, a digital platform and network committed to centering the lived experiences of Black women and girls in the global tech sector. 

Through her work as a public interest technologist, she is exploring the ways in which innovative technologies can be used to create a more equitable future for marginalized communities and advocating for a more diversified innovation economy.

Previously, Leah worked as a Tech Policy Analyst for Black Tech Mecca, Inc. and Senior Consultant for IBM Global Business Services’ Watson Cognitive and Analytics division. While at IBM, she worked as Certified Scrum Master (CSM, Scrum Alliance), Design Thinking and Watson 101 instructor.

Leah is passionate about using her business acumen to support entrepreneurs and small business owners in achieving their business goals.

She holds a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree in International Business from Howard University and a Master of Public Policy (MPP) degree from The University of Chicago. She is a proud native of Chicago’s South Side, loves to travel, and is an active member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated.
